Meet Melissa

Melissa Rosenberg is an accomplished advocate for ensuring livability and affordability for all residents on the Upper West Side. She’s ready to take that fight to Albany.

Melissa has served on Manhattan Community Board 7 for the last seven years. During this time she has proven herself to be a committed leader on issues related to housing, especially affordable housing, NYCHA, and homelessness. 

Melissa has dedicated her career to public service and solving problems  - from combatting the gun crisis with Everytown for Gun Safety to working as a policy analyst with the Supportive Housing Network of New York. She’s worked to advance thoughtful policy solutions around ending homelessness, gun violence prevention, and enhancing Jewish culture access. 

Melissa also served in the Office of Management and Budget to shape city budgets that ensure all New Yorkers get the services they need and deserve. 

Melissa holds a Master of Public Administration degree from New York University’s Graduate School of Public Service and a degree in economics from McGill University.
